Partridges Blue - Reviews

Partridges Blue

Partridges Blue is a stronger version of Exmoor Jersey Blue. It is made using the same full cream Jersey milk, still soft and creamy but matured for twice as long as Exmoor Blue making this a blue for blue cheese lovers, mellow and less bitter than many. The cheese was originally made for Partridges of Sloane Square and has also been served on Concorde!

Bit too strong for my taste!

Salty, zingy, in short a great cheese with a glass of Pedro Ximenez or sweet white wine. Not for wimps or grannies

I love Stilton but found this too gutsy for my taste-Roger loved it!

Flavour-wise this was great, however for me it was a bit too strong in terms of harshness on mouth.

Absolutely lovely if you don't like your blue cheese too strong, as I don't. Sometimes Jersey products can be too rich - not this one. Delicious.

I found this cheese disappointing.
Near the rind it was over moist and near the core it was too dry almost like two different cheeses
it must have separated during making and this led to an unevenness that detracted from it.
It therefore tasted good in parts
