Goldilocks - Reviews

Goldilocks

This individual white rinded cheese is a brand new Camembert style English cheese made at the Daisy and Co Dairy near Bruton in Somerset. It is made from pasteurised organic Jersey cows milk which results in a yellowy appearance and a creamy texture.

I like this cheese! It is gooey, full of flavourand just the right hint of sweaty feet! Would be interesting to try baking it next time. Only criticism is that it needs eating quickly once cut.

Delicious creamy but not strongly flavoured cheese; definitely a favourite with lunch guests recently.

The colour was fabulous - the texture fabulous, oozing as it warmed up-incredible taste.

A cheese of 2 halves - creamy inside, bitter rind outside. The middle we all really liked but the bitter twang of the rather leathery rind lets it down a bit. The adjective 'armadillo' was heard!

Nice creamy texture. Perhaps needs to mature a bit longer to develop a slightly stronger flavour. Very pleasant though.

Extremely controversial! My husband nearly died spitting it out. Two sons had seconds. Very creamy, fabulous texture. I really liked it.

By the time we ate this it was very ripe! A lovely soft cheese which can definately hold up its head when compared to a French Camembert.

A little over ripe and strong taste but good honest flavour nonetheless.
