Robin Congdon built his own house which also serves as the dairy overlooking the River Dart near Totnes in Devon. Like many cheesemakers his background is in farming. He was one of the first to start milking sheep in the 1970's milk he used to make yoghurt, which sold in the finest outlets. Now he is totally dedicated to making cheese, particularly blue cheese not only using ewes' milk but also cow and goat milk. Together with his partner Sarie Cooper he runs the Ticklemore Cheese Shop at the bottom of the hill in Totnes.
